Robert M. Cody
Robert M. Cody is Of Counsel in the firm of Hunter, Carnahan, Shoub, Byard, & Harshman. He has been engaged in the private practice of law since becoming Of Counsel with the firm in February 2006. His practice concentrates on employment and union side labor law. Admitted to the bar for the State of Ohio in 1982. Also admitted to the bar of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Education: The Ohio State University (Bachelor of Arts, 1975); The Ohio State University (Bachelor of Science in Education, 1977); Capital University Law School (Juris Doctorate, 1982).
As an undergraduate at Ohio State, Bob Cody received several student leadership awards, served as a student representative with the OSU Athletic Council, and University Senate, and was inducted into Sphinx, the Senior Honorary at Ohio State. During law school, he was a member of law review and was inducted into the Order of the Curia, the law school honorary. Following his graduation from law school, he served as Senior Law Clerk to Justice A. William Sweeney of the Ohio Supreme Court. Beginning in 1994, Bob Cody served the Ohio Supreme Court as a Master Commissioner until his retirement from the Court in 2006. He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.
