Cathrine (Kate) Harshman
Attorney Harshman is admitted to practice in the Ohio Supreme Court, Northern District of Ohio, Southern District of Ohio, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. She holds memberships in the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association, the Ohio Public Employees Lawyers Association and the AFL-CIO Lawyers’ Coordinating Committee. Attorney Harshman attended The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law where she served as the President of the Labor and Employment Law Association, and was a Pro Bono Research Fellow. In May 2005, she graduated in the top 25% of her class.
Kate has a long history with the firm. In November, 2004 she became a law clerk at Hunter, Carnahan, Shoub & Byard, and subsequently worked as an Associate Attorney. In 2010, the firm welcomed Attorney Harshman as a Partner. Her current practice involves the representation of labor unions, workers, political action committees (PACs), and non-profits in Ohio. She has several foci, including campaign finance reporting and compliance, union organizing campaigns, duty of fair representation defense, unfair labor practices, NLRA, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA, Title VII, and non-profit creation and representation.
