Who we are
The law firm of Hunter, Carnahan, Shoub, Byard & Harshman was formed in 1996 by founding partners Michael Hunter, Russell Carnahan and Grant Shoub. Attorney Robert Byard became associated with the firm in 1999, after serving for more than nine years as the senior clerk for Honorable Andrew Douglas, Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court. In 2005, Attorney Byard became partner. In 2010, Kate Harshman was welcomed as partner after working at the firm for approximately six years.
Our attorneys have a large breadth of experience and training. Accordingly, we maintain a robust practice in the areas of individual employee rights with a strong mix of public and private sector law, and personal injury law. In addition to practicing union-side labor law, our partners are active participants in the local political scene. We fought hard to help strike down Senate Bill 5, and continue to advocate for issues such as minimum wage increases, immigration reform and the protection of voter rights.
